I'm Tamesha โ a Sacramento mom raising a nonverbal son on the spectrum. This is where I share our real story, what we've learned, and where moms, grandmothers, and caregivers can be seen.

Justin is my fourth son. He's nonverbal, he's on the spectrum, and he has taught me more about love, patience, and what real communication looks like than any book ever could.
On May 28, 2026, Justin graduates from high school. Twelfth grade โ a chapter that once felt impossibly far away. We're keeping it gentle and joyful, the way he needs it, and it will be one of the proudest moments of our lives.
We use PECS and an AAC device for communication. We follow a sensory-aware approach to food. We've built quiet, predictable routines that help him feel safe. I share what we've learned โ not as an expert, but as a mom who's lived every part of it.
Justin is surrounded by love. His brothers see him, not his diagnosis. And Tyrone โ Justin's stepdad of five years โ has been a hands-on, deeply present father figure from the day they met. We are grateful every single day.

I'm 48, a Sacramento mom, and mother to five sons โ three grown men building lives of their own, plus my two younger boys, Justin and his little brother. My family is my whole world.
Outside of caregiving, I'm into nature, music, arts and crafts, and cooking. My faith in God is the foundation under everything I do. I stay prayed up and read my Bible daily โ even if some days it's just one scripture.
I started this hub because I know what it's like to be in the middle of the hard stuff and feel like nobody understands. If that's you, I want you to know: you're seen here. You're welcome here. And you don't have to do this alone.

Justin's brothers are fiercely protective and endlessly supportive. His stepdad, Tyrone, has shown him what steady, hands-on love looks like for five years โ taking him to volunteer days, teaching daily life skills, and showing up. This is the love that holds our story together.
I'm still learning how to make candles โ and I'm sharing the whole journey with you. The pours, the small wins, the messy parts. When the candles are ready to share, you'll be the first to know.

My very first batch โ coconut apricot wax, lavender fragrance, hand-labeled in my own handwriting.
